# Backing up Plex

I am running Plex on Unraid Docker and I want to do weekly backups of the app so that if I ever have a crash I can reinstall the docker and recover the server. Things I would like to back up so that I can restore is the Metadata (Cover arts, thumbsnails and so on) and user Playlists , Basically anything important so that If I ever have a crash, I can reinstall the docker, Recover these folders and start up the server and my users would never know its a new install with the least amount of downtime. mainly so I dont lose playlists and have to redownload cover art. I tried to just back up the entire folder but I would always get errors that files are in use blah blah blah so…

I use Acronis to do my back up so I would like to know what folders I would need to back up that would hold the above lists and metadata.
