Battlestar Galactica (2003) has air dates of 1978 using Plex TV Series agent

I added Battlestar Galactica (2003) series and it pulls correct images, episode names, etc, but air dates of each episode are showing as 1978.

It seems the metadata is getting mixed up with the old TV show.

If you’re using MP4 files – mp3tag will remove any errant name/ title data.

Also, you must name them correctly with “(2003)” on every file

Please notice the distinction. BSG 1978 does not have the year attached. BSG 2003 does. This is how it’s named.

It makes it much harder for PMS to know where one part ends and the next begins.

Please take a few episodes,

  • Move them away
  • Scan files
  • Empty Trash
  • Clean Bundles
  • Manually rename the file to be proper naming structure
  • Now move it back.

The series name is Battlestar Galactica (2003) as one token (item).
You have Battlestar as your name (first) token.

Make sure the show is matched to the correct one.

Battlestar Galactica is a tricky one. TheTVDB names it “Battlestar Galactica (2003)” even though the actual year for the show is listed as 2005.

This makes matching a bit confusing, so make sure that you “Fix Match” and ensure the correct show is matched first.

Thanks for the help. I renamed all of my files and rebuilt the library and it looks like that did it.
