Best folder Approach for libraries

I currently have a share for each library:
/mnt/media/DramaMovies
/mnt/media/SCFIMovies
/mnt/media/TVSHOWS
etc…

I then create the libraries in Plex, and add the relevant share… Is this the best approach?

Or should I create /mnt/media/Libraries (a single share)
and have folders under the share for each library?

What works best with Plex? I have seem some allusions to issues with plexignore for example… if that affected by either layout?

it doesn’t really matter, so organize however best suits your needs.

if your storage is on a remote server, I just use one share ‘media’ with subfolders for the various libraries.

the important thing is to not to mix tv with movies in the same library, and to make sure the videos pathnames match plex recommendations.

fwiw

mine is divided up something like

/data/media/movies
/data/media/movies-4k
/data/media/tv
/data/media/tv-4k
/data/media/dvr-movies
/data/media/dvr-tv
/data/media/videos (non-movie/non-tv content)
/data/media/audio
/data/media/movies-3d

you can also have multiples for a single library like

/data/media/movies1
/data2/media/movies2
