# Better Playlists

## Some thoughts for **Better Lists:**

- Option: **auto-remove after watched** (“watchlist” vs “playlist”)
- **Actors Lists** (keep track of favorite Actors)
- allow bulk-editing for selected items inside a list
- Optional Sorting (by Date added, Release Dates etc - just like the normal filters)
- Import IMDb/Trakt Playlists
- Allow Users to edit shared playlists
- Allow Plex-Home-Users to share playlists (not only admins)

Still missing on some devices:

- **“Add to watchlist” for every client** (missing on Roku for example)
- **“Go to Item” for every client** (missing on AndroidTV for example)

All in all, maybe the normal Library View could be just better + easier to maintain.  
I never really understood that massively stripped-down Playlists-View.

**right now, i guess the best way is to use collections instead of Playlists.**

Just name them with a “.” in front and they’ll be on top.

**For those wanting to sync Playlists with Trakt/IMDb:**

**Plex-Meta-Manager** is a pain in the a\*\* to use (until WebUI, if you ask me), but lets you do a lot of stuff Plex is missing.  
This way you can sync any Trakt/Imdb-Lists (like Popular/Trending, or your own Playlists) with Plex (Collections).
