Relative newbie to Plex & Pi, but a IT tech for 15 odd years...
Basically i've set up Plex on the PI2, but when i connect it to the monitor i want to use, i get the "PLEX built for OPENELEC" screen, then it pops up with an error of can't create directory (8GB card - 10 speed) then the monitor says it can't detect a signal and goes blank - using a HDMI to DVI converter, if i plug it into our TV it works fine, runs through the plex set up and shows everything but back to the monitor same thing
is it possible to change the resolution that Rasplex is using? as i'm guessing the monitor can't handle it?
it was a freebie monitor that was being retired from work - so i'm not that attatched to it, it was free :-)

Computer monitors usually need different directives in the RPi "config.txt" file than those needed for a TV set, which are used by default.
After flashing RasPlex (or at any later time) you can insert the SD card into your PC's card reader/writer to edit "config.txt".
On some occasions your PC may have lost record of what drive letter to use in accessing the card, but that can be fixed in the disk manager (at least in Windows).
The directives needed may vary for different equipment, so you may need to experiment quite a lot in order to find the right combination.
I recently replied to another user with related needs, and then attached a text file to that post with detailed information on such directives.
I won't attach the same file twice (forum moderators might frown on such usage), but I can add a link to that attachment here.
