Buffering at end of content after recent 1.8 server update

Seems myself and my users are having issues with buffering after the latest update. The only platforms having issues that I know of are the web player, and Playstation 3. Just basic MKV files, not 4k or anything.

Usually the entire item will play without an issue, but will hang near the end of it. Movies and TV shows, all file types. When there is about 10-30 seconds remaining, it’ll stop and buffer without continuing. Basics like reboots and reinstall aren’t helping. Roll back works fine. You can tap next and usually continue to the next item in queue, or skip around in the playback and it will continue without issue.

Attached are my logs and DB. User Nikkil1019 had a buffer just before posting, but I’m not sure if it captured in this log. System info in signature. Overall, plenty of headroom. Both local and remote streams are having this issue.

I’ve also had a lot of buffering of late

Even with today’s update, I’m still having the same issue. Buffering during playback is fixed, but it’s getting stuck either at or near the end of the item. Anywhere from 1 second to a few minutes before the item actually ends. No buffer wheel either, just seems to stop playing.

Update again. Seems the server is locking up and not responding at random times more and more now as well. Making me force close the process and run the server again. This happens if I leave the server running for a few weeks without restarting, which is understandable. But it’s happening nearly daily now.

Users cannot skip more than 1 minute at a time during playback either, or they have to restart their session. This is happening on all platforms, so is definitely a server issue.

This was fixed in a later release.

Mine (PC PMS) is doing this - buffering continuously at some point at the end of viewing to a remote player (Roku stick/Plex app). It’s also spitting out a TON of data, almost 30Mbits and in just two events of this pushed me over a TB of usage for the month (I’m usually at a 1/4 TB).

I can agree the issue is still there, though not as badly for me. But even with the most recent update from today or yesterday, same issues.
