# Buffering on high bitrates

My friend have a mini PC for PLEX server. It is connected to the router on LAN, as well as his new Samsung Smart TV. If he play movies with high (30Mbps+) bitrate it starts freezing after a short playback. The higher the bitrate the lower the time before freeze. If he plays the same content from the same location but over DLNA it works, so it’s not a network issue. I shared a folder with him from my server, we can play 60Mbps+ files without any problem, so PLEX can do it. All PLEX settings are the same on both PC, disabled transcoding, quality is set to maximum, direct playback is enabled on TV. I see video/audio direct playback on PLEX dashboard during playback, so it’s not transcoding. Is there any hidden setting in PLEX for transcoding?
