# Bug: Adding Item to collection not working (from search, ...)

Server Version: 4.116.1 (Synology DS423+)  
Player Version: Chrome 119.0.6045.200

If I’ve searched for items and try to add items to a collection, the list of existing collections is empty (but not in the dropdown) and if I try to create one I get an exception.  
Looks similar to: [Plex Media Server – Add to Collection not working](https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/yw531k/plex_media_server_add_to_collection_not_working/)

If I’m in my library list, however, it works as expected.

still having this issue

[as well as the entries of the collections are regularly deleted (video file scanner, non-smart collection)](https://forums.plex.tv/t/bug-collection-entries-get-deleted-regularly/866834)
