Hi!

I have just started using plex-server on linux and as i started manually rating songs i noticed the following issue (when using the embedded tags):

If one puts some stars to a music item in the library having no Track number present in it’s (ID3-or whatever-) Tag there is also no album-unique index (-1) created for this item in the “metadata\_items” - sqlite library table
Then a guid-entry in “metadata\_items” looks like this (for each one of the album tracks):
com.plexapp.agents.none://65632/-1?lang=xn
I think this has the effect that, if you have an album where no track numbers are given and you rate one item, the other album-tracks are equally rated, too, which is not the intended behaviour i think.

The same goes for albums containing multiple discs, when rating e.g. disc1/Track 5 also disc2/Track 5 is equally rated as both tracks share the same guid.

Kind Regards

I found this might be exactly this issue:

> **[Rating one track rates all tracks in album](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/282016/rating-one-track-rates-all-tracks-in-album)**
>
> Rating one track in an album applies the rating to all tracks in the album. 😕
