BugReport - thetvdb metarefresh causes CRITICAL error and doesn't get metadata

I noticed the issue when the show’s icon was just a gray box. I went in and tried to refresh the metadata. Took a bit but it never finished and the icons for all shows went to gray.

Did any part of the metadata come from another installation (Windows is a primary cause of such issues)

If not, can you please provide me show name information and I will attempt to recreate

No, everything has always been Linux based … it was converted to a docker container (image: plexinc/pms-docker:latest or image: plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass) ~3 years ago. It was recently (within the last 4 months) moved from one docker host (centos 7, 1 * intel i3, Drobo DAS) to a new docker host (centos 8 - 2 * xeon, internal SAS HW RAID). Users/groups and permissions were duplicated in the migration and mostly verified.

Those are the only significant changes… The show is The Walking Dead from TBS.

Have you “Plex Danced” the series?

Given everyone has the same metadata code, there are only a couple possibilities.

  1. File names ambiguous (embedded tags)
  2. Bad match in the database
  3. Networking.

I found the problem … Plex somehow had created a weird file (and was expecting a directory) in the metadata directory of the database. I deleted the file and refreshed the metadata and it came through.
