This may be slightly niche, but on my Android TV box, I have Caldera installed and I have one of my remote buttons remapped to “play/pause”. Caldera seems to hijack the input for this button, so if I:

1. go listen to some music in Caldera

2. hit pause/stop (doesn’t matter which button is used - I can hit “OK” on my remote when the play button is selected, for example)

3. go watch a video on youtube, and pause it

4. hit my remapped “play/pause” button to resume the youtube video.

Instead of the youtube video resuming, Caldera resumes the last music track I was playing while youtube remains open (and paused).

I have other music players that do not seem to do this even with my remapped remote button, so I don’t necessarily think this is a bug specific to my setup, rather I think Caldera may need to ignore input when another media playing app is “active”. I’m not sure if the Android API allows for that, but I imagine it may since other apps do not do this and I’m not sure how that’d be the case otherwise.

you can send diagnostic logs from the app but we generally don’t do anything special, and obey the Android media session thing and resume when we’re told to.
