Cannot access my Movie Database, but The TV show are accessable?

Good Morning,

I have recently ran into an issue in which none of my movies are able to play from my server.
I recieve this error code “Please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted.” This applies on all of movies.
Strange thing is, the TV shows which I have a separate drive work fine.
I’m using a NAS.
How can I check to see ifmy drive is mounted?.
I would think it has to be as when I go in manually to the network drive which has my movies, im able to play them with VLC on my computer…
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!.

** Update **

Im using a snology NAS and I must of changed some setting while I was in the control plan to NOT allow the Plexserver any Read/Write abilities.

So, for those with this problem…

Goto :

  1. Open Control Panel in you NAS Interface and select Shared Folder.
  2. Select the Shared folder which contains you media.
  3. Click Permissions Tab
  4. Chnage drop down menu from local Users to System Internal User.
  5. Check the Read/Write box for the PlexMediaServer user.
  6. Click Save & you good to Go!!
