Server Version#: 1.23.4.4712 I have a hosted Plex Server and I cannot access it as all when I’m connected to my VPN (Provider = VPN.AC) at home. Disconnect the VPN and all is fine again. Is this behaviour expected or should I be contacting my VPN provider and asking the question? TIA ---

Plex will operate normally if the VPN is properly configured. (The VPN is invisible.) Either the VPN provider or the hosting provider should be contacted to resolve this. It does sound like you have a site configuration issue on the home end. ---

Thanks for your reply. I have openVPN on my pfSense Router directing all traffic from LAN to WAN via the VPN. The VPN Server is located in my State that then connects to the Hosted PMS. Connection path: My PC → pfSense Router → VPN Server in Sydney → PMS So this should work then? ---

I have pfSense as well. You’ve setup a simple & standard VPN connection to the server… Absolutely that should work. I run IPSec and OpenVPN to Plex HQ from my pfsense (site-site & site-host(s)) Our NAS boxes are in the HQ Lab. I use them from here in my home office. PMS doesn’t know or care that I’m remote. As far as it’s concerned, my host is on the same SUBNET as it. ---

Thanks for your reply, again. The difference is you have site-site VPN. ie from pfSense to PMS. I don’t, I have the VPN Providers Server in the middle so I think that’s where the issue might be. ---

That’s what it sounds like. PMS will initiate socket connections to you from the remote end. I have heard of VPN providers which only allow for “Reply” packets to HTTP PUT/POST/GET actions. ---
