It can sometimes give an error when adding some feeds if they don’t get a success response in a certain amount of time (but may still be processing it).

looks like plex has not updated that feed since 6/8/20. there are about 170 episodes since 6/8 that are not showing.

I’ve been told this is possibly a bug on our end and I’ve opened an issue for it.

I am having this same issue and it is VERY annoying. I have been trying to use Plex as my primary player on my desktop, but this makes it unusable to keep all of my podcasts collected. Can we get any update on a fix for this please?!

I am having the same issue. I tried the add URL and import the OPML file and get the following error for the Add URL:
Something went wrong
An unexpected error occurred.
for the Import OPML file I get no error message but the podcast isn’t added.
I tried adding two podcasts with success:

a third fails every time:

Just get a “something went wrong” message and podcast isn’t added.
I have definitely had this podcast added in the past, not sure why it dropped off or why I cannot add it now.

I’m also having this issue. Most of my podcasts work, but Channel F (formerly called Fanwidth) is not working. When I add it from the web interface, I get this:
But more interestingly, when I add it from the iOS app, it initially seems to work, but then the podcast isn’t actually in my subscription list:
I have tried both with and without the trailing .xml and get the same results.

Update: After adding it, Channel F somehow shows up in On Deck:
…and I can view the episode itself, but when I click on the podcast name to view the whole list, I get Something Went Wrong again.

Also having issues adding a specific Podcast. At first I thought it was because I was using an Apple Podcasts URL but then I tried another and it worked fine.
Anyway, here are the URLs I’ve tried thus far:

Anyone know of any way to get more info/debug logs for this? My impression is that they’re inaccessible (going straight to Plex), but I’m not sure.

This one isn’t working for me. I’ve tried the OPML method, as well. No dice.
After adding it gives the error “Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred.”
It does not appear in my podcasts, but under Recommended - On Deck I can see the latest episode now showing.
I can view the details page of the latest episode.
If I try to open the details page for the podcast itself it gives the error “Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred.”
Attempting to play the one episode I can see gives the error “Playback Error. An error occurred loading items to play.”

I have a month paid subscription to a podcast. In other podcast players I add the URL ([https://mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplushq/](https://mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplushq/)) and am usually prompted with a login request. However, when I try to add this URL in Plex I also get the same “something went wrong” message.
Please fix soon.

My understanding is that podcasts requiring a login are officially unsupported at this time. (Which is annoying, ofc.) Would be nice to have some idea why a bunch of non-login feeds are broken though.
