Cannot connect to my Plex Server on Synology NAS since outage yesterday

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171
Player Version#: all of them

Since yesterday’s (06/02/2020) Plex outage, I cannot connect to my Plex Server. I tried to open the local IP version of it (192.168.xxx.xxx:32400/web) too but the browser just keeps connecting and loading and never connect and loads anything… it says “waiting for 192.168.xxx.xxx…”

I tried to stop and run the server on the NAS, but no luck.

Please advise!

EDIT:
Another interesting fact: in the logs there is no new entry since yesterday evening… even I restarted the server… I’ve checked the /volume1/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs folder on the NAS and as you can see the server log’s date is yesterday:

-rwxrwxrwx+ 1 plex users 9681613 Feb 6 20:11 Plex Media Server.log

Exactly the same here, except installation is on a QNAP NAS. Unreachable since yesterday. Admin-side does not load, and I cannot debug what’s wrong. Have booted the server and re-installed Plex: neither worked.

Update!

I can access my library via Android Plex-App.
But i can not access via https://app.plex.tv. My server is not reachable.

I think it has something to do with the authentication…

Same here. all gone. i can connect to my Synology server and videostation. But PLEX is all gone on my mobile and my pc…

Seems like PLEX has a big server crash.?

same for me, impossible to connect my nqap server with plex app, on my gsm, on my mac, on my smart tv, nothing work

Same here :upside_down_face:

WD PR4100 NAS. Not reachable since yesterday, tried reinstall the app on the server. and restartet several times that did’nt do it :frowning:

Hello,

same problem with the Asustor 6104T-331D. Since yesterday.
The Plex-App don´t work, the Fire TV App dont work…

Same here on a Seagate Personal Cloud. Been running fine for over a year. Then yesterday my TV said plex was unavailable. Tried on my phone and accessing it directly and the Plex server is not there. I can access my NaS no problem just the Plex server. :woman_shrugging:

Same here, but with Plex on a QNAP. Can access the QNAP fine, just not the Plex server and hence no local media shows via the Plex app on phone/tablet/tv. Have tried restarting Plex server but to no avail.

Just to add: this had all been fine for months and months, problem has appeared since yesterday’s outage.

And also over here the same problem (withSynology NAS). Plex works at my iMac (strange!) but not at my iPhone and iPad, but more important not at my Samsung Smart TV either.

I hope this problem will be solved very soon! This is not where I have paid for.

Guess I have the same issue: LG WebOS-App not working due to plex downtime

Hadn´t tried since the downtime yesterday :frowning:
Btw: Synology NAS

Same here! Plex on Synology NAS. Please fix it somebody!

Same issue. Synology DS718+ getting “Refuse to connect” error. My server is not accessible via Plex webapp.

Update: I’ve just restarted the NAS and the plex server has started working again… mystery…

Same problem here on Windows Server 2016.

Went so far as to uninstall Plex and reinstall previous version 18.5.2309. No luck.

Same here on my QNAP.
Just stopped and restarted my PLEX server and it came back.

I was having a similar issue with my synology NAS and restarting it only just recently resolved the issue.

Same here. I’ve just rebooted my QNAP and the issue has resolved.

I’d previously tried to stop and restart the Plex server which had no effect. (But perhaps that would’ve fixed it now, had I tried it a moment ago instead of rebooting the whole NAS.)

BTW it’s more than ridiculous from my POV that most of us here are paid customer (Plex Pass), but no one from Plex team has give a s…t about our problem… also there is no official communication or help.
