# Cannot connect to plex

hi all , hope someone can help , i have just fitted new m/board and cpu in my pc installed win 11 installed many apps including plex and all looks good , however on my tv set plex shows exclamation mark server not available and i cannot get it to connect , i have given it a static ip address put his on th tv , not working it all worked fine on win 10 , oh yes it runs thru roku stick on my tv which is linked to my sons server his works fine but mine just unavailable , any ideas?

New installation means you need to finish the setup (unless you want to do a migration of your old machine (assuming you still have access to the old server data directory).
What you see are the remnants of your original server that’s still linked to your account (and will go away at some point).

yes plex is claimed by me however downstairs on tv set , i start th roku open plex it shows my sons account (shared) and it works i can watch stuff from his server , but mine has the exclamation mark in the triangle , server not available check network ect driving me mad

Is the new server listed in the `More` section of your Roku‘s navigation sidebar?
