# Cannot connect with browser on local network (Android works)

You need to update your server software version. [Plex Media Server - Security Update - #3 by PlexInfo](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server-security-update/928341/3)

- Ensure that your container is set to use “host network”.
- Remove or disable any browser add-ins which manipulate web pages and DNS records.
- Tell your browser that the website [app.plex.tv](http://app.plex.tv) [shall have access](https://forums.plex.tv/t/important-note-about-chrome-and-firefox-local-network-access/933264/1) to the local network
- tell your web browser that any website ending with `.plex.tv` shall have the right to store cookies in your browser
