I have 4 seasons of a TV series. No matter what I do, the seasons/episodes are not matched to what they should be and instead are resolved as other random shows. I’ve gone through all the filename/folder name preparation (e.g. Show - s02e06.mkv). I’ve re-scanned the library. I’ve done the Plex Dance. After doing all this, on a re-scan of the TV Shows library, it shows my correct show and season for the first few seconds. Then it switches to a generic “Season 2”, “Season 3”, etc. without a show name, and finally it ends up as a show that exists nowhere on my drive, like Pokemon. Can’t figure out how to correct this. No fix match options or anything available. Server up-to-date. I just wish you could update manually and use a TvDB ID… Thanks for any help. ---

Thanks for the reply. I’ve experimented with all of this and nothing has solved my issue. It’s not a case of different years. I’ll try the whole dance once again just to see, but I’ve just been watching the series under the different name, which isn’t a great usability experience, but at least I can watch them fine. Again, if I could just manually specify the TvDB ID, this could be fixed in seconds without all the dance steps… ---

Thanks. Breaking Bad seasons 1-5, organized like: TV\Breaking Bad\Season 2\Breaking Bad - s02e01.mkv. When scanning the library, you can see it recognize the season as Breaking Bad, then the folder changes to “Season 2”, then it changes to some seemingly random show I don’t have like Game of Thrones. ---

Thanks for the continued replies. I also tried that, but here’s the issue: While I can see “Fix Match” when I access a movie from the movie library, there is never a “Fix Match” for any of the TV Shows, meaning I can’t accomplish the steps above. Is “Fix Match” somehow disabled via a setting on my system? Server version is 1.13.8.5395. ---

Thanks again, but there is no “Fix Match” option. I have tried every menu/toolbar related to the TV shows, from the series name, to the season, to the individual episodes. No toolbar has “Fix Match” in it. I did see it on an individual movie, but never for a TV Show. Is this a regression in the most recent server, or is there some weird configuration option that is preventing the item from appearing? I see all the other expected items like Analyze, Optimize, etc. ---

I may have just fixed it. In all my experimenting I had a folder for TV on my drive that I pointed the library to. As I tried to fix the issue, I added the Breaking Bad folder directly to the library. Once I removed that and forced a rescan, ensuring I was viewing all TV Shows (and not seasons or episodes), the series showed up. There is a “Fix Match” (didn’t have to use it) at the series level. For now, all seems fixed. This really should have “just worked” from the get-go, but at least I have my series/season/episode information correct at this point and am no longer staring at Pokemon, Ellen Degeneres and Game of Thrones, which were the bad matches. @trumpy81: Appreciate all the suggestions. ---
