# Cannot share media server with new plex users

Server Version#: 1.41.9.9912  
Player Version#: Plex Web

No matter what I do, I can no longer give access to my media server to new plex users. They get the invite, they accept, but it never shows up on the left side. I have created my own new account and done this 20 different ways.

Set your server update channel to Public and update.

For the next couple of months DO NOT install Betas unless you are prepared to rollback.

This has nothing to do with betas.  
Plex is blocking access for shared users to libraries on server running versions of PMS from 1.41.7 to 1.42.0. Those versions have a vulnerability.

Upgrade to a newer version of PMS, 1.42.1 or newer.
