# Cannot update over samba from 28 to 30

Hi Guys.

&nbsp;

This is a great app, thanks for the efforts!

&nbsp;

I am running 0.1.28 and am trying to update to 0.1.30 manually.

&nbsp;

I tried SSH but cannot connect.&nbsp; Putty gives me a "No Supported Authentication methods available" error.&nbsp; Not sure what that means (a little green with linux).

&nbsp;

So I noticed the wiki said I could use samba.&nbsp; I dropped the 4 files in the target folder to the Update share drive via my WIn7 PC over the network.&nbsp; I reboot the pi box and I get a bunch of errors starting with "No such file or directory/.update/KERNAL".&nbsp; Then I get a bunch of checksum errors say they do not match.

&nbsp;

Any insight?

Nevermind.&nbsp; It appears to be problem with using WinZip vs WinRAR to extract.&nbsp; Guess WinZIp couldnt extract it properly.&nbsp; Weird.
