Cannot view the guide or schedule "you must be lost"

I can’t get to my DVR at all. I am getting an error clicking it in the menu. Says “you must be lost”. It has done this for 2 days now.

I have tried to install the latest updates, restart the service, clean up the database, and nothing changes this. Recordings are still occurring, but I can’t check any schedules, browse the guide, or add new recordings.

Did you try refreshing the guide?

Yes. Refreshed the guide, emptied the trash, optimized the database, optimized bundles, restarted the server, logged in using incognito, tried logging in from a different server, and even reset my pinned libraries and setup again. There has been nothing I can do to change the message

I can get there using my IOS app, I just discovered. Cannot get there from Plex Web using a browser.

try clearing your browser cache and cookies…

New computer, new browser. Same error.

Same issue here - but so far, I only see it for the admin user, managed users are working OK. Very odd … :frowning:

Do you see the same thing?

Thanks!

Confirmed from a second PC - yes, tied to a user it seems.

Thanks.

Yes, it looks like the URL as the primary user is bad. If I copy the URL as a secondary user with PVR access, I can switch back to the primary user and paste the URL just fine.

I do not want to remove the DVR - there are quite a few shows set to record, and recreating that will be a nightmare.

that’s weird you guys, I can access mine just fine…

I am Running Windows 10 Pro w/ 1909 update
Plex Media Server Version: 1.18.2.2058
Chrome Browser Beta: Verified Working
Edge Browser: Verified working

You guys running anything different?

Can someone post the guide url? Please replace your token with :left_bracket: token :right_bracket: so we keep things clean in this thread.

Thank you!

Running Version 1.18.2.2029
Got prompted to upgrade to 2058 but in middle of recording MTP so will have to wait. That was the whole reason I needed the guide. To try and watch it live through Plex.

Yep … removed and re-added the DVR here. Fixed it, but that’s not a great answer … :frowning:

Recreating the DVR should no longer lose your scheduled recordings.

However, if this is happening via Plex web, I recommend trying the following first. Go to Settings, then on the left under PLEX WEB click on Debug (click on Show Advanced if you don’t see Debug), and then click on Restore Defaults – please take note of the accompanying warning!

The above might help, though I’m not entirely sure.

Win 10 pro, 1909
Plex Media Server Version 1.18.2.2058

Same. Been running PMS for years and this error just showed up after recent updates.

Logged in as primary user, Live TV & DVR link that does NOT work:

https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/media/[token]/tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3?pageType=list&typeKey=%2Ftv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3%2Fsections%2F1%2Fall%3Ftype%3D1&context=content.dvr.browse&title=2017&key=%2Ftv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3%2Fsections%2F2%2Fall%3Ftype%3D4%2Fall%3Fyear%3D2017&source=%2Ftv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3%2Fhubs%2Fdiscover

Logged in a a sub-user with DVR access that DOES work:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/media/[token]/tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3?key=%2Ftv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3%2Fhubs%2Fdiscover&pageType=hub&context=content.dvr.discover&source=tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3

Settings > Plex Web > Debug > Restore Defaults

I had done this before and gone through the preferences again when I logged back in. The first time it did nothing. I tried again today and it seems to have worked.

It changed the URL of the Live TV & DVR link to:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/media/[token]/tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3?key=%2Ftv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3%2Fhubs%2Fdiscover&pageType=hub&context=content.dvr.discover&source=tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud%3A3

It looks to me like this is happening if I was previously in Browse … it’s OK if I was last in Recommended, Guide or DVR Schedule. Do you see the same thing?

Thanks!

Same problem here

Resetting like I mentioned above in the Debug section did fix my issue. I’m not having the issue any longer

Excellent - thanks!
