# Can't access podcasts

I’ve been using Overcast for Podcast, but am looking into Plex’s podcast abilities because it’s nice to have everything in 1 place. I’ve added my podcasts and they show up when I access Plex on my NAS server trough a webbrowser. But I can’t get to them in the iOS app or trough [https://app.plex.tv/desktop](https://app.plex.tv/desktop)
It just says: “There was an unexpected error loading this library
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems”
What should I do?
Unrelated feature request: A ‘sleep timer’ like Overcast has would be nice for podcasts in Plex. It’s a killer feature that I’m not looking forward to missing when I switch to Plex for podcasts.

Don’t do it, stick with Overcast.

What version of PMS do you have installed and on what OS?

Plex Server Version 4.12.3 (64 bit) and the OS is DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4.

An update:
1. I’m not sure if anything has changed, but I noticed Podcast now show up on [https://app.plex.tv/desktop](https://app.plex.tv/desktop) . I guess it was a server thing on [Plex.tv](http://Plex.tv)’s side?
2. Still no Podcasts in the iOS app. I can’t even find the Podcasts in the menu, where I would expect to pin it. I only see:

- Home
- TV Shows
- Playlists
-
- iPhone
- Photos

Yeah, its that bad.
Does not download the correct episodes, basically downloads random episodes
Does not all the time make an episode as played
Loses playback position
Adds every episode to the queue when you use want to play 1 episode, even if those are already played.
There have been no major fixes for almost a year, its been pretty much been abandoned.
Stick with Overcast, or try Pocket Casts if you want to try something new. But stay far, far away from Plex Podcasts.

For the iPhone, do you not have a More item at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar? If you do, tap on that and then scroll to the bottom, Podcasts should show up under Plex.

The list in my previous post is actually what shows up AFTER I click ‘More’, which is there in the menu before this. So no, clicking ‘More’ does not make ‘Podcasts’ show up.

So when you go here: [https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources](https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources), Podcasts are enabled, correct?
Have you restarted the iOS Plex app? If so, have you tried logging out of the Plex app and then logging back in?

Logging out and in of the app did it! At first Podcasts was eveb in the list TWICE! After unpinning one of then it is now showing up only once. (And I can’t seem to get the second one it back under ‘More’ either? Not that I want to… Probably a bug?)
Anyway, that solved it. Thanks for the help! Let’s hope it runs without problems now 🙂
