Can't add TV Shows nor Movies

I just started using Plex - imported my gigantic music library without a problem (took a few days - but it works).

But I just can’t get Plex to import TV shows or movies.
I’m quite sure I followed the naming rules - for instance a TV show:
volume1/TV Shows/Show name/Season XX/Show name sXXeYY.mkv

On my Synology NAS I’ve installed the latest server but there is a 1.40.0.7998 version available for download. I’m not sure however if I dare to install it :slight_smile: Anyway that shouldn’t affect the adding problem?

What can I have missed?

is that the path to your media in library settings?

Also make sure plex has permissions to read the folder. DSM 7 - Plex Media Server - Release Info & Migration instructions - #17 by ChuckPa

In DSM 7, the username changed. We now grant permission to PlexMediaServer

Thanks - that did the trick!
I don’t understand however why my music library folder had the correct permission while the others hadn’t? But I won’t lie sleepless over that :slight_smile:
