I would like to prioritize hw transcoding on my 11600k vs. my 3090, but PMS defaults to NVENC regardless of what I do. I’ve tried using Windows Graphics settings to assign the iGPU to plextranscoder.exe. I have a dummy display on my iGPU. Quick Sync works encoding Steam remote streaming, so I know it is enabled.
NVidia control panel no longer has the option to force GPU - can only do through Windows settings.
Any ideas?
Since you can’t do a wildcard (*) for the whole plex directory anymore, you need to add every .exe file to the profile.
Or switch to Linux so you can set the Renderer in the Preferences.xml file.
That seemed to work, at least partially - I now have encoding happening through Quick Sync, but decoding happening through NVENC, i.e., both GPUs are being used. Is that typical?
That is a bit bizarre. Did you restart after updating the profile?
