Hi all   I have searched but couldn't find the answer.   I am testing some new hardware and running Win8 Enterprise Evaluation and can't get this working.   I followed the guide (3 times).  Installed latest python 2.7.x. I was able to create the certificates.   Unzipped plexconnect-master to c:\programfiles   When I double click on the plexconnect.py file I see a quick terminal window doing something but it is too quick to read.   It than disappears and doesn't seem to be running.   Any ideas?   Thanks :) ---

start a command prompt run it from there to see what the error is.  Possibly permissions on the Programfiles directory ---

thanks! I ran it from cmd and you are right it appears to be a permission error  permission denied for the settings.cfg file do I just need to change the settings for that file? and can I change permissions from the properties? ---

You could possibly run command prompt as administrator then launch the PlexConnect.py file or you may need to fix permissions as @drewbie said on the entire folder and sub folders so all the files can fire allowing PlexConnect to run all the required files so it can run. ---

Open the command prompt as administrator, do this by right clicking on the icon and select “Run as Administrator”. ---

Ok. I was able to change permissions for the folder and have it running now. But I get the error ‘cannot connect to trailers’ . Other apps like Netflix are working ok though ---

Have you followed this guide: [Install-Guide](https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Install-Guide) If yes and installed certs and rebooted aTV after loading certs then please use this template and fill it out completely if it still doesn't work: [issue report](https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/How-to-report-an-issue) ---

I followed the guide but missed the install certificate on atv part. I remember doin it last time but didn’t see it in the guide this time and just ended up googling it. Now it’s working great! Thanks everyone ---
