Can't install PMS 1.15.2.793 on Synology DS215j

Server Version#: DSM 6.2.2-24922
Player Version#: 1.14.1.5488

PMS shows a banner “A Plex Media Server update is available for the server nas! 1.15.2.793” and as usual I stop Plex in the DSM web UI and do a manual install.

The file is PlexMediaServer-1.15.2.793-782228f99-armv7hf.spk (ARMv7).

However this time when I try to do the manual install the following error message appears in the DSM web UI:

“This package is not supported on the platform of DiskStation or is incompatible with the current DSM version.”

This hasn’t happened before, I also tried to install 1.15.2.793 on the previous version of DSM and saw the same error.

Can anyone help me out please? Thanks.

It’s unusual because the download link in the Plex UI notification banner usually points to the correct file, but it was definitely pointing at PlexMediaServer-1.15.2.793-782228f99-armv7hf.spk this time around.

I’ve installed PlexMediaServer-1.15.2.793-782228f99-armv7hf_neon.spk successfully.

Excellent. I’ll do that in future, especially now I’m certain of which flavour of ARMv7 to download.
