# Can't play Plex on any Apple device

I have found a workaround.

If I move a duplicate movie file into the folder in mp4, delete the mkv file and do the [Plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064), I can move the mkv version back and it will play.

I don’t know enough to read the logs nor the console entries and I would really appreciate some help from @support here.
