Change name of disk / hard drive where media is stored

I need to change the name of the disk / hard drive where my media is stored. Is there a way of changing it and not loosing all the tagging I have already done? I suppose Plex is not going to find the disk once I change the name… Any workaround???

See this help article - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201154537-Move-Media-Content-to-a-New-Location

Moving Content to a New Location

edit: As always, backup are good to have - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201539237-Backing-Up-Plex-Media-Server-Data

You should be able to change the ‘name’ of the disk containing Plex media without issue. Changing the drive letter is something else. See previous post about that.

This applies only to Windows. OP is a Mac user.

If you are a very experienced computer user who knows what SQL is, you can do this:

But make a backup copy of your Plex database file first!
