I recently changed my plex password this morning and lost connection to my plex.
I have been looking for a solution such as re-claiming my server (ie [plex.tv/claim](http://plex.tv/claim), etc…)
with no luck. I have tried removing suggested key values form the Preferences.xml and still no luck. [I have since copied the Preferences.xml back to get things back as they were for more troubleshooting.)
I can see another plex that has been shared to me; but not my own.
Thanks for any suggestions.

It thinks it’s claimed but the token isn’t matching (new password = new token)

Easiest way to do this (if you’re text editor savvy)

1. Stop container
2. Find Preferences.xml in the filesystem
3. using your favorite Linux text editor
4. Remove:

- PlexOnlineUsername
- PlexOnlineEmail
- PlexOnlineHome
- PlexOnlineToken

1. Save and start PMS
2. Now, with PMS on same subnet, you can open and claim it via Plex/web

If on a different subnet, let me know. there are claim tools.
