# Chapter support for m4b audiobooks etc

For the love of all that is holy, please get around to adding chapter support for m4b audiobooks.!!! Yes its great that you support the files in the basic sense. But having one 15 hour long audio book is very unwieldy, especially for children. And yes I appreciate that (apparently, I’ve never had it work tbh) it can save the place in a book.

the latest build of vlc (latest 4.0 beta) and latest kid3 both support chapters, so does OpenAudible so anyone can create audiobooks with chapters so they no longer need multiple files for a single audiobook, when will chapter support be added to Plex? the latest audiobook from Brandon Sanderson (Tress) has chapters in it it is a needed feature

There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing that exact option. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes (especially if interest already seems rather low). Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

2023 clean-up: duplicate
