# Check for updates doesn't always work?

I’ve got plex pass lifetime for the past month or two. I run plex media server on netgear ready nas Intel 6.x. I have version 1.10.1.4602 installed. Check for updates finds nothing. I haven’t had an update for a while and I see there have been several for plex pass. My account shows plex pass and on the nas the media server shows the pass next to my account. I manually downloaded 1.11.0.4666. Is there some rule that could cause check for updates to not work. I click on it and it responds in a few seconds with no new updates.

1.11.0.4666 is a beta release. If you have public selected where check for updates is located, then 1.10.1. 4602 issue is the latest.

Settings - Server - General - ‘Show Advanced’ - ‘Update Channel’ = “Beta”
