I have 2 Chromecast Google TV HD and noticed this issue on both.
After about 25 minutes or more motion becomes jittery/jerky. This affects MKV and MP4 of varying bitrates x264 and x265 nothing over 1080p.
Server and clients are all up to date and lasted versions
I have a fire TV 4K Max, Fire TV light and a TCL Roku TV all running Plex and this issue does not occur.
I’ve have tried multiple settings on the server and client with no success.
It seems to be an issue between plex and the Chromecast TV HD as Prime, Netflix etc don’t seem to have this issue.
Any help and possible solution would be greatly appreciated.
I have this too. Seems to have started around the update to Android 12. When I stop and start the video, it’s ok again for another 25 minutes. It’s become so unwatchable now that I have reverted to using Plex on my Samsung TV.
I’m having the same issue, but from the beginning of the video.
I also have Samsung TV.
So now I have issue where Plex interface on Samsung is very slow, almost unusable, but video plays fine and Chromecast with Google TV with lightning-fast interface and unwatchable video.
Match made in hell!
Also I had some black screen intermitting the video playback with CCwGTV but I resolved that issue with uninstalling and reinstalling PLEX.
