ultra chromecast or Qled?

do you believe that i can have more video / audio quality and accelerated performance
if i use an ultra chromecast to watch movies 4k on the plex that are on my home network instead of using the plex on my Qled tv Samsung ?

If you are using your the smart plex app for your tv, my advice is to stay with that.
It should support 4k if your TV is 4k ofc.
Chromecast has more trouble with audio etc, needs more transcoding then the plex app on the tv (atleast for me), and chromecast has been having problems with Plex for years with starting and playing content.
I have both and i stopped using chromecast for plex, it just doesnt work as you would expect for plex.
Chromecast won’t be an upgrade, but quite the opposite.
Adding an nVidia Shield Pro would be a significant upgrade.
But maybe you want to activate the ‘Preview’ of the new app, which may be released in a number of weeks. This is supposed to be faster than the current app.
o: nVidia Shield Pro is very expensive
is there a brand of tv box that is much cheaper and has great quality that you recommend?
a significant upgrade that doesn’t cost that much?
