I think the Cast information in Jellyfin tops Plex and Plex could improve the experience here.
I would also like to add that loading the cast thumbnails is slow to load, they could be loaded when the metadata is updated and not on page load, the round placeholder image goes to a square when loading the actor image and fades back to a circle. It’s not a good UI/UX. Jellyfin wins here too.
Lastly when scrolling the media list the lasyloading of images (grid view) is a bit aggressive I think the 1 row of library images of the viewport (top and bottom) should be kept in memory on desktop devices. This should improve perceived performance when scrolling.
Regarding the primary topic of your request, there is an existing feature suggestion from a few years ago with many more votes. So, this may be considered a duplicate (other notes notwithstanding):
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
