Collection visiblity and restricted managed accounts

(Edit: Before we begin let me apologize for the terrible punctuation. I just discovered that my question mark button is not working so all questions have periods instead)

So I have two managed accounts, Guest and one that is restricted to Teen.

Recently the teens have been interested in MCU movies but have been attempting to watch them haphazardly since the MCU started before they were born. Rather than threaten them with jail time for doing it wrong I created a collection for all MCU movies.

This is been a big hit with other users since they now have a single source of truth and can watch the movies in order. However, the teen account cannot see the collection. At first I thought it was because it was a managed account but the Guest account can see and access the collection.

Now I can only speculate. Is this something to do with age restrictions for the movies. I was under the impression that all MCU movies were safe for teens. The TV shows are another story. Short of removing restrictions for the account, is there something I can do to ensure that the collection shows for the teen account, which happens to be the one I created the collection for in the first place.

Does the collection itself have an age rating?
If it’s blank, Plex will consider it „not rated“ and users with an active age restriction will not be allowed to see it.

You hit the proverbial nail on the head.

I set the collection to PG-13, switched to the managed account and the collection was right there waiting.

Thanks. I have never put an age rating on a collection so that solution would not have come to me.
