Collections are massively under-achieving // Mod: same navigation as library view inside collections

When I create a collection, the results seem to appear in a random order & are always in “grid” view.

I really hate grid view.

I cannot arrange my collections the way I can arrange my libraries. For example, I always use “detail” view, I always list by “album artist” & I name my albums with dates to make them sort in chronological order. I’d love to be able to do the same with my collections.

Is it possible to give collections the same functionality options as libraries, so that we can all view things the way we prefer?

I’m not sure what’s left of my OP that isn’t covered in those two threads, but I would like all the same functionality for collections as I have for libraries. I take an awful lot of time & care tagging my music so that it sorts in a certain way. It’s a pain when that all goes to waste.
