How come some movie are in a collection and some are not?
For example:
I had to manually create a STAR WARS collection but it found KICKBOXER.
I have it set for collections with 3 movies.
so why not Hunger Games, Wrong Turn, Satar Trek or James Bond ?
IS there something I need to enable or a naming convention that I don;t know about?
What agent are you using for your library? Based on the option you describe it sounds like you’re using the Plex Movie agent… but I just want to verify.
Did you refresh the metadata of those items since you’ve set the threshold for automatic collection creation?
If you did and their collections still don’t show… can you verify the Collections tag of those movies isn’t locked (orange lock next to the field)?
Yes. Using Plex movie agent. Yes did refresh. Still no new collection. And no orange locks.
Did Plex successfully match the movies that didn’t get added to collections?
no it did not.
i’m going to remove ALL the collections. make sure there are no orange locks and re-scan
backfield’s point was that Plex will only be able to identify a movie to be part of a collection once that movie is matched. If Plex doesn’t know certain files are actually supposed to be part of the Star Wars franchise, it cannot create the collection.
