# Com Skip failed when trying to move file from .grab

Player Version#: N/A
Not sure why this failed, but it looks like it could be the long file name. Looks like the original .ts file was completely lost. The only file in the show folder is
`The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (2015) - S04E144 - Julia Louis-Dreyfus; Anna Chlumsky; Tony Hale; Reid Scott; Timothy Simons; Matt Walsh; Kevin Dunn; Gary Cocomskip.dictionary`
Could this be a file name length issue? The USB drive this is on is a 1 Tb drive with a over 450 Gb free.

@jasonsf, this is a known issue with the server that has not been fixed in the last few updates.
## The issue
Thanks for posting the log snippet. What is happening is Plex moves a file from the `.grab` folder into the final location with no problem, hence you can see it. When it goes to move the `.ts` file, it tries to place it in the following directory

/share/external/DEV3303_1/Share/Recordings/Shows/The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (2015)/Season 04/The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (2015) - S04E144 - Julia Louis-Dreyfus; Anna Chlumsky; Tony Hale; Reid Scott; Timothy Simons; Matt Walsh; Kevin Dunn; Gary Cocomskip.dictionary/
```
As you can see, your `.dictionary` FILE is the last folder in the path. However, that is NOT a directory, it is a file. So, Plex throws an error that it cannot move the `.ts` file into the directory, because it’s not a directory, it’s a file.
## Questions
Are you running a post processing script of the Com Skip?
OR
Are you using the built-in commercial skipping option within the Plex server? Just some more info for the Plex devs if they ever decide to fix this bug.

I am using the built-in functionality. No post-processing script.
What can I do to prevent from hitting this bug until it is fixed? Do I need to turn off comskip? Is this going to happen to every recording? This is the only recording that has been hit by this so far.
Do I need to write a post-processing script to grab a copy of the .ts just in case it gets killed by the server?

I’m assuming turing off the commercial skipping will fix the issue, though I’m not completely sure. I don’t know what is creating the `.dictionary` file, but as long as there is more than one file in the directory there is a chance of this happening. It’s possible that the issue hasn’t popped up before because you got lucky and Plex always just moved the `.ts` file first.

It looks like you are using an external USB drive for your locations. Is that true?
What happens if you move it to an internal drive location on your QNAP?

I haven’t tried that, but from the logs, it doesn’t look related. It is using a filename instead of a directory name as the copy destination.
It happened again last night. I got a .log file instead of a .ts file.

could you please run with [debug logging](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/#toc-1) enabled and then provide full logs after the issue arises and also a directory listing of the target location

Logs no good - you say it happened May 29th but logs are from May 30th.
We should now have sufficient diagnostics from other users who i approached earlier today for logs
