# Command Line Scanner and Partial Refresh

Same issue here.
Using --scan --refresh --force --section _##_ --directory _/my/directory/path/_ causes Plex Media Scanner to refresh the whole section instead of just the directory path.
Is it possible to **force refresh** just the directory path ?

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it work using `--directory` but thanks to @pshanew’s response on another topic, I found out it’s possible to force a refresh **on a single** TV Show or Movie using `--item`.

Yes, TV Series and Movies works, but not Plex Music.
