Adding to this. Please fix this!
I deal with autistic individuals in this house on some days and they like to be able to watch their shows. That works fine - until the Plex player stops playing.
What possible reason is there for this behavior without allowing it to be stopped in settings? Even more, why is it playback of video files stops but LiveTV can go for hours and hours without stopping? It’s silly and capricious to stop file playback and not stop LiveTV. It’s also presumptuous to assume everyone wants this behavior.
And, no playlists don’t always work. That means, in my case, going through over 40 shows and making playlists I can shuffle play for them. Why force users to do this when it should be such a simple thing to add the ability to toggle a binary setting for something like this?

So, you are telling me that thing was raised in 2018 and NO solution until today?!
How many years does it take to add a stupid option? They don’t seem to want to add it.

Cool to see this has been [finally addressed](https://forums.plex.tv/t/player-experience/857990) for all the devices I don’t use.
Not fixed on iOS or TvOS so it’s still not fixed.

yeah nah. IOS, Android, Google TV + other smart Tv’s all have no continuous play. stupidest feature that only some asked for. i wish i could get my money back from Plex Pass. oh well.

You should really read up on the [link](https://forums.plex.tv/t/player-experience/857990#passout-protection-plex-pass-required-8) provided above by TeknoJunky and hoover900.
- iOS → planned, but no ETA yet
- Android → implemented (requires Plex for Android v9.31.0)
- Android/Google TV → implemented (requires Plex for Android TV v9.31.0)
- other smart TV → implemented (requires webTV client v5.69… “webTV client” is used for Samsung/LG/… smart tvs and gaming consoles)

For the life of me I couldn’t find the described option on my Samsung TV - but I shuffled CHiPs for hours whilst I was working yesterday and enjoyed the sweet sounds of late 70’s dramatic music and cheesy jokes, so I’m a happy man.

It’d be nice if we iOS/TVos users might get an idea in terms of the order of magnitude. For instance, are we looking at days, weeks, months, or years? Or maybe if we could know where it is in development? Have the features been added to those branches and are in development or is there something that will slow down release for those OSes?

@tom80H thank you for taking time to respond. I did read over @TeknoJunky ‘s post and I am super stoked for these new playback controls, however I primarily use an Apple Tv, my iPhone, or the Plex web client. It was just disappointing to read that these features weren’t available to me at this time. I look forward when these features are added to iOS/TvOS and the web client

Hi everyone. I haven’t had a chance to read through all 300+ messages, but as has been posted we released the option for Plex Pass users to disable the 2 hour timer altogether. It has already been posted, but just in case, you can read more here: [Player Experience](https://forums.plex.tv/t/player-experience/857990)
One additional note, there is another feature add for which allows you to control the time between videos when using Autoplay which is a related feature ([info here](https://forums.plex.tv/t/player-experience/857990#auto-play-countdown-time-plex-pass-required-9)).
In regards to this feature suggestion, we will keep it open until it is feature complete which means the apple clients are released. This work is queued up and on the radar. I know that everyone wants a timeline here, but I don’t have a target release window to provide at the moment. It won’t be 5 years down the line though. We will work to provide updates as get closer to releasing it.

Can you give us any information on what it is that has to be done for Apple that is so different from Android and other clients that takes the extra attention?

In general we don’t like to get into that kind of discussion, but for this specific case the assumption that there is some additional roadblock or challenge on Apple is incorrect. I am not aware of any special or unique challenges that are present here. Instead, it is purely a project prioritization issue and these weren’t being run in parallel development. While I am sure this won’t be a popular answer, it is at least an honest answer.

Are the Player Experience features also queued up to be added the Plex Web Client?

@McWanke, another question what version of the Plex Server do you need for the new Player Experience features? Where all does one set these option server side? none of the [recent changes logs](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server/30447/593) mention anything about the new Player Experience. is this something that has yet to be released because the post made it seem like it was currently available.

They are player features, not server features. There are no server settings for it. You do need to have a recent enough server to have credit detected in the first place but the actual process skipping credits is all in the client

Many features are released by flag. The feature is developed and included in clients but not turned on. When we feel they are ready we turn them on. We started using the `feature-release` tag for those announcements which will list the min version needed.
Often we wait for all clients to have the the code in them so we can release at the same time but in this case (and others in the past) we decided to release what we had since so many folks wanted so many of the Player Experience features.

I have been following this feature request and have been passionate about this feature. But I didn’t notice the feature release until I checked back now.
I just want to say thank you for this much needed setting option, that we have been som emotional and passionate about. It took a long time, but is finally here. Thanks again ❤
