Hello, I have a PC that is using discord to allow friends and I to watch movies together. This machine is always running and playing movies. What is the best way to control the playback of the movies, say a friend wants to change the movie that they are watching but they can only connect remotely to the media server. All help is welcome, thank you! ---

Using Discord this way allows the user to just set up a “channel” of movies/shows and anyone can drop in/out and watch. A sort of internet radio kind of thing. Watch together requires each user to have an account, and each user has to be on at the same time at the start. I haven’t messed with them, but perhaps [Web Hooks](https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002267687-webhooks/) is the way to go? ---

Yes, that is exactly what the use case is. I want to be able to create something that will tell the player to change/skip the movie, that I can then give to friends and allow them to have control remotely. ---

With that being said, webhooks does not seem like it would work as the payload can go to a server I have running, but cannot go back and control playback remotely. Are here other ways to do this, or another way with the webhook? ---
