I am running Plexmediaserver 1.7.5.4035 on FreeNAS V11

When I try and add a library in the Plex GUI - the path is profiled with /var/db/plexdata/Plex Media Server and it doesn't appear to see the media folder I have added. If I ignore the path in the field and overwrite it with media/tv it finds all of my files, but when I try and play any of them I get the error message above. Looking into the log I see:

Aug 22, 2017 12:17:24.463 [0x80a4ff500] ERROR - [Transcoder] media/tv/The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy/The.Hitchhikers.Guide.To.The.Galaxy.S01E01.mkv: No such file or directory

I first tried to change the permissions (based on operation not permitted) and have them as 775 - I also see that media is a member of the group. But wondering now if the Transcoder cannot see the same path as the web UI is using to populate the dashboard.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

It would appear you are missing the first /. The path media/tv… would not exist to the transcoder because its current working directory is not /. You likely need your library to have the path /media/tv.

You know how crazy this drives me. Can’t believe I missed this detail.

But, guess what…

Without the /, it works on Android devices, but not working on iOS and Web. That’s what tricked me the longest.
