# Correct metadata language

I’m trying to have Plex enter the metadata for my native language (Swedish), but it just keeps getting everything in English.

I’ve changed the language to Swedish in Server–\>Agents, but it seems that language only affects release date and content rating. How can I get the movie info/summary to be in my native language as default?

The server wide agent settings only apply to legacy agents. All current-generation Plex agents are configured per library… this includes the default metadata language.

Check out `Manage Library` \> `Edit…` from the library‘s context menu. All the common configuration is in the `Advanced` tab; metadata language prefs should be on the `General` tab.

Side note: you can override the language for individual movies or shows (✏ \> `Advanced`).

Thanks, this solved the issue! I just had to “update all metadata” afterwards and it all worked out fine! 😃
