# CPU Fans going crazy during maintenance

I am noticing very high CPU temps around 3am, I guess it is doing the Plex maintenance but is there a way I can tone it down without completely stopping it from running

Might be the credit detection (see sticky post/banner at the top of the forum page).

Yes that’s what I notice when this last update the CPU 90% usage. I was thinking the same thing it’s going through all the videos and doing the credit detection. I have it setup to run from 12:00 to 1:00 in the morning and I get about 10-15 emails telling the CPU is running at 90%.
I’ll would just ignore it for about a week or so BUT if it continues then I would look into it.
