# Creating/Manage Tokens

Some section to generate/manage tokens.

My server is not reachable from the outside so I cannot sign in via [plex.tv](http://plex.tv) and pull the token from xml view.

User accounts live on [plex.tv](http://plex.tv)  
So to create and manage users, you will always have to communicate with [plex.tv](http://plex.tv)  
Whether your local Plex server has remote access enabled, doesn’t matter.  
Which also means that you cannot sensibly operate a Plex server at all, without an (outbound) internet connection being available.
