# Custom Scheduled Tasks Calendar

Hi, I think it would be amazing if users could customize Plex’s Scheduled Task beyond “12:00am-6:00am”, for example.
It would be great to have the option to set the times for weekdays and weekends, or maybe even individual days, and make more than one “task time” per day as well (maybe 12am-6am, then 8am-5pm).
For example, during the week, my wife and I don’t use Plex before work, so having the scheduled tasks running from 12AM-5PM would work without issue. However, on the weekend, we sometimes stay up late, and sometimes my wife will get up earlier than me and watch a movie while I sleep in. It would then be good to change the weekend scheduled task time from maybe 1AM-7AM.
This simple ability would help people, who are running their Plex Media Servers on less powerful computers, to transcode video, generate thumbnails, etc, in a more timely manner.

I completely agree. I would love this feature too!
Similar use case - usage changes throughout the week.

personally i’d just be happy if it could run a db backup more often than every 3 days (from inside plex anyway), but multiple tasks times i guess work too.

Control of backup frequency would be a welcome feature (combined from [Server: Scheduled Tasks: Backups: Allow frequency to be configurable](https://forums.plex.tv/t/server-scheduled-tasks-backups-allow-frequency-to-be-configurable/696654)).
Allowing different hours range for each day of the week in Scheduled task would also be useful.

I agree please add this I don’t need my sever doing tasks daily when I haven’t added anything in weeks. Especially when my server is loud while doing it.

Please create day of week option to run scheduled tasks. I don’t care if scheduled tasks run during the day while I’m at work but on the weekends it isn’t ideal due to server fan noise. Simply allowing a day of week schedule would be best for those of us who can’t tuck away our servers in a basement or garage.
