I’ve discovered that Plex will sometimes forget the Studio for a movie previously added, even though the metadata is in the file for this. That’s bug #1: don’t forget good info, and if you do, check the metadata in the file to see if it’s available there.
In order to go back in and fix all of this in the meantime, I tried setting up a Custom Filter to find movies without a studio, so I could at least manually paste values in, but if I say “Studio” is “blank”, it matches all movies in the library.
My workaround is to create a filter that lists every major studio using an is not operator, leaving me to sort through the movies by random one-off studios looking for blank Studio fields, which sucks on several levels.
