# Database always corrupt

Hello,  
I am cannot get to my data base, it says it is corrupt. I have deleted Plex and Plex Media Server a couple times. Still says corrupt data base. Can you please help? Thanks..

You probably have not. Uninstalling Plex server does not delete the old server data.  
A complete deletion requires you to remove the old [plex data folder](https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/) and the registry branch manually: [https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/)

But instead of starting over, you can also try to [repair the database](https://support.plex.tv/articles/repair-a-corrupted-database/). Use the .bat or .ps1 file [from this project](https://github.com/ChuckPa/PlexDBRepair/tree/master/Windows) to do that more conveniently than the official method.
