May be too big or attaching Plex media server.log,1 rather than Plex media server.log (latest) Copy logs folder out with sub folders and then zip the logs folders and attach the zip ---

I have now been able to install Plex with no issues!!! yay thanks for your suggestion regarding my issues cheers Quirkyy ---

Hi. I installed Plex and received the "A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server." I have restarted and re-installed Plex.I also deleted the System and Framework bundles. I was able to run Plex once and linked it to my movies. However, I have since only received the error message and am unable to link to the TVShows file. Attached are my log files. Any suggestions? ---

sa2000 - Thank you helping. I created a rule in the firewall allowing inbound and outbound communication for all network profiles. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Then I tried turning off my firewall and anti-virus software. No luck. I Googled the issue and found a suggestion to create a static IP and set up a port forwarding rule. That didn't work either. My final attempt was uninstall Plex, download a fresh file from the Plex website and do another install. No success. I've attached my latest logs after the re-install. Any suggestions? ---

If you navigate to [http://localhost:32400/web/](http://localhost:32400/web/) you should be able to manage your server. when I use this link that you provided, I can see my server and all my media.  However, I have no server Icon in any tray and when I sign into plex (both the website and the app for chrome) it says I have no servers and asks me to begin download. What anti malware ? Anti virus ? security software do you run? There are two log files created during the install. one is the above and a more detailed one **'C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server\_20150220190636\_0\_pms.log'** This is normally too big for the forum and need to be zipped and uploaded to service like Dropbox and link added here ---

They would be named _ **C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server\_yyyymmddhhmmss\_0\_pms.log'** _ _ **C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server\_yyyymmddhhmmss.log'** _ ---

Thanks for the logs. The underlying error is this one: _ **DEBUG: Error 2219:  Database: . Invalid Installer database format** _ I have not seen this error before and I am not sure why it is being given. Hits from Google search did not help - may be you have better luck than me. Only things I can think of to try: - Check the download file as I outlined before : **Digital Signatures** tab/ **Plex Inc** entry - Check that the system is up to date with Windows Updates and Service Packs - Reboot  - Run the microsoft Windows FixIt : [Fix problems that Programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled](http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall) ---

**HELP!** PMS will not start on a brand-new Windows 7 Professional 64-bit PC after installation. This means PMS does not even show as a process/service under task manager after I try to start the application. There are no error messages during installation or when I try to start the server. I have uninstalled and re-installed PMS several times with no success. I use MSE as anti-virus and it was off during two of the attempts.  I use an admin account and the PMS version I have is  Plex-Media-Server-0.9.1107.803-87d0708-en-US. They are present in all installation logs for Plex Media Server So we had an install reported a successful. but when you launch Plex Media Server.exe it exits immediately Please can you see if there are any files in this folder: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs If there are, zip them and attach the zip xxxxx is the windows user account that you tried to launch Plex Media Server in Please can you export the registry keys in here to a text file and attach You can edit your email address and online token before uploading the txt file **RegEdit** and select **Computer\HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server** And FIle / Export / Save As : text file (.txt) And open Windows Task Manager Click on Processes tab Click on Show Processes for all user accounts Click on Image heading to sort the names alphabetically Look for any process with name starting with Plex and see if any are present  ---
