If something is wrong I server or workstation where PMS is installed the service should not run and give a friendly page on plexserver address/IP.   I found out that if PMS runs on a ReadyNAS Pro 6 and the time and date is wrong, the PMS hangs and eat uncontrolled CPU! To recover from this I have to kill the demon (SSH CLI) then I have to update the NTP demon manual and then update or reinstall PMS to make it work again.   If the demon have some few checks before run this could easy be avoided. ---

Early 2021 clean-up: info page / message discussed in this suggestion → duplicate > [@Send server messages](https://forums.plex.tv/t/send-server-messages/23773): > > It would be great as a PlexPass user to unlock a feature to send messages to the viewers. Information on planned maintenance (running every 20min or so) Restart information (one time message) and so on. This would be nice to have when you have a shared server. Vote on the poll, and maybe give a comment in suggestions to make this feature request better. Best regards Sleepwalker ---
